The fight to provide access to abortion care is being fought daily across America. And it shouldn't be a fight. Patients shouldn’t have to fight for healthcare; patient care should be paramount.

The primary responsibility of a Pinkhouse Defender was to get patients from their car to the clinic door with as little harassment as possible and make sure folks parked right. When you've done this as long as we have, the circus on the sidewalk was commonplace, just another ordinary day at the Pinkhouse. Then Covid-19 happened and suddenly, almost everything changed. What has not changed is the anti presence at the clinic.

We have seen COVID-19 ignored by antis when they want to congregate at clinics harassing patients and escorts, ignoring pleas to stay at home, to stay 6 feet from people (including patients who are possibly pregnant), endangering the health of others, including the people they CLAIM to want to help. We even have an anti who is a doctor outside the clinic saying “I don’t care about 6 feet, y’all do.”
